Khabib Nurmagomedov was taken off a flight over the weekend due to a disagreement with airline staff.
The incident, which occurred on a flight from Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas on Saturday, was captured on video and posted on social media. In the video, a flight attendant can be heard asking Nurmagomedov, who was sitting in the emergency exit row, if he was prepared and able to help other passengers in an emergency.
The flight attendant says, “We can't allow you to sit in the emergency exit row… I'm not going to do this back and forth. I'll call a supervisor. You can either take another seat or we can go ahead and escort.” You got off the plane.
Nurmagomedov appears visibly frustrated by the situation and responds, “That's not fair,” while emphasizing that he fully complied with the flight crew during check-in. He tells the flight attendant: “When I was checking in, they asked me if I knew English… and I said yes. Then why are you doing this?”
Despite the UFC legend's resistance, a supervisor was brought onto the plane and reportedly gave Nurmagomedov the option to change seats or take another flight. When no solution could be found, Nurmagomedov was removed from the plane.
We have contacted Nurmagomedov…no response yet.
