While Deion Sanders may be interested in the coaching vacancy in Las Vegas, it appears the Raiders are not reciprocating that sentiment.
Colorado's head coach is said to have “a strong interest” in the position after the Raiders fired earlier this week, firing both Antonio Pierce and general manager Tom Telesco.
However, even though Sanders opened the door to a possible NFL move, the Raiders are reportedly not biting.
Mark Davis and company. have “zero interest” in hiring the 57-year-old, according to The Athleticamid the franchise's search for another new head coach.
The Raiders fired Pierce on Tuesday after the struggling franchise's 4-13 season finish led to the offseason without playoff football for another year.
Days later, Sanders associates with connections to the league reportedly contacted the team to inform them of his interest, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

But Raiders owners, particularly minority owner Tom Brady, are reportedly looking at other candidates.
The Raiders have already interviewed Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn and Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo. They have scheduled interviews with former Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll and former New York Jets coach Robert Saleh next week.
And Brady, who is part of the interview process, is said to be pointing to Johnson as his favorite for the role.
Brady is personally involved in the recruiting of the Detroit Lions' offensive coordinator and the seven-time Super Bowl winner is “in love” with him, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
Brady, a minority owner of the Raiders, also spent time with Johnson's agent, Rapoport said.
Johnson has interest from several NFL teams: On Saturday, he interviewed with the Chicago Bears for their vacant head coaching position.
Las Vegas is one of six NFL teams with a head coaching vacancy after the team made the decision to fire Pierce.
At that point in the draft, Sanders' son, Shedeur Sanders, is expected to have already been selected. Most mockers project him to be taken with the first three picks: either to the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns or the New York Giants.
The Raiders have the sixth pick in the 2025 draft after finishing the current season with a miserable 4-13 record.
They also need to hire a new General Manager, and Telesco followed Pierce out the door earlier this week.
