Meghan Markleis focused on helping Angelenos recover from the area's devastating wildfires…so much so that their new Netflix show is being delayed until March.
The streaming giant announced the news on Sunday, releasing a statement on its website explaining that it had decided to postpone the first season of the show “With Love, Meghan” at the request of the Duchess of Sussex.
The show has been described by some media outlets as a love letter to the beauty of Southern California… so it makes sense that Markle might not want it released given the devastation taking place in the area.
The Duchess showed her appreciation for the streamer in her own statement, writing: “I am grateful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch as we focus on the needs of those affected by the wildfires in my home state of California.”
Just yesterday we shared pictures of Meghan and her husband. Prince Harry, Assessment of the damage caused by the Pacific Palisades wildfire in West LA
The two appeared sombre as they walked through the area, spoke to local officials and walked around the area for a full 45 minutes.
The Palisades Fire has burned more than 23,000 acres since it first broke out on Tuesday…one of several fires still burning in the area. In total, 40,000 hectares of land were burned – and at least 16 people died.
“With Love, Meghan” will now premiere on March 4th.
