The Los Angeles wildfires have claimed the life of another Hollywood entertainer…this time it's the Blues Brothers actress. Dalyce Curry, whose remains were reportedly discovered over the weekend in a fire-damaged home.
The LA County coroner's office confirmed to Dalyce's family Sunday evening that her body was found in her burned Altadena home ABC7 Los Angeles.
Curry's granddaughter also confirmed Dalyce's death in a Facebook post… She wrote that she dropped Dalyce off at the Altadena house last Tuesday, the same day wildfires broke out in LA – and that was the last time she saw her grandma saw. After 6 p.m. that evening, the Eaton Fire broke out and burned much of Altadena in northeast LA
The granddaughter said she returned to Altadena the next day to check on Dalyce, but was turned away by police at a barricade… An officer told her the property was destroyed and advised her to hide in one to look around the nearby community center where displaced residents were seeking shelter, but Curry was nowhere to be seen.
On Friday, Curry's granddaughter was able to survey the damage to the property… but it wasn't until Sunday that she received official confirmation that Dalyce was dead.
You may remember… Dalyce was an actress who appeared as an extra in films such as The Blues Brothers, Lady Sings the Blues and The 10 Commandments.
The LA wildfires have left 24 people dead… as we reported on Saturday, former child actor Rory Callum Sykes has died in the Pacific Palisades fire. He was 32.
Dalyce was 95.
