Cooper Kupp surprises NFL fans with bold new look for Rams-Vikings playoff game

Ahead of his team's relocated playoff game against the Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp debuted a new hairstyle.

Kupp took the field at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, sporting braids in her hair Monday night.

A fan noticed it, took a screenshot and shared it on X, formerly Twitter, and other users quickly picked it up.

'My God!!!!! I didn't even recognize Cooper. I thought, woah (Rams head coach Sean). McVay added someone from the practice squad. You know it's going down…” said one fan.

Another commented: “He's leaving tonight,” while another user predicted: “I've seen enough, Rams for 500.”

One user made more specific predictions saying, “Kupp for 12 catches, 160 yards and 2 tuds.”

Kupp previously admitted that his team was adjusting after its home playoff game had to be moved to Glendale, home of the division rival Arizona Cardinals, due to the devastating wildfires that devastated Los Angeles.

“There's nothing normal about practicing at the Arizona Cardinals facility and all the implications that come with that,” he told reporters this week.

“You still feel that, but… it's nice to be able to be here with the guys and have something to work for.”

“There's nothing like what's happening in the real world,” Kupp added, “but it's an opportunity for us to step up and say 'let's be able to respond from a little bit of difficulty here and go out and do something special.'

The Rams did something special by taking an early lead. Quarterback Matthew Stafford raced a touchdown pass to running back Kyren Williams on his first drive and then kicked a field goal on his next drive to take a 10-0 lead.

At press time, the Rams lead the Vikings 10-3.
