Travis Kelce praised his experience on set with Adam Sandler during the filming of Happy Gilmore 2, which will be released this year.
In a recent appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, the Kansas City Chiefs star marveled at his involvement in the film with one of his idols.
“That was a dream come true,” Kelce said, “I thought 'SNL' was going to be the peak of my career as an actor and showman or in entertainment.
“Working with Happy Gilmore himself, Sandman and Happy Productions was something out of the ordinary.”
Kelce's role in the film has not currently been revealed. However, in a recently released teaser, he appears to play the role of a country club employee.
Having been on set, Kelce praised the crew's professionalism while filming “some” scenes for the film.

Netflix announced that the sequel to the 1996 cult classic was in the works in May 2024
Kelce's role has not been revealed, although a recent preview shows him as a clubhouse employee.
“They are very professional and at the same time very fun to work with,” Kelce shared. 'I felt like I was working with (Kansas City Chiefs coach) Andy Reid of the acting world. (Sandler) is as calm off screen as he is on it.
“That was a dream come true,” he continued. “That was amazing.”
In addition to Kelce, the film stars Ben Stiller, Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald, Jacqueline Sophia London, Benny Safdie and Nick Swardson.
Although the plot of the sequel has not been revealed, the 1996 original followed an impulsive hockey player who became a professional golfer to save his grandmother's house from foreclosure.
Happy Gilmore was directed by Dennis Dugan and grossed $41 million at the worldwide box office despite having a budget of $12 million.
Netflix announced that the sequel was in the works in May 2024, with Sandler reprising his leading role. In August, Sandler confirmed that Kelce would appear in the film.
