Dak Prescott spoke about Mike McCarthy's departure from the Dallas Cowboys after their season ended with a playoff miss.

In a text message exchange with DLLS reporter Clarence Hill, Prescott expressed his opinion on McCarthy's departure.

Prescott described the 61-year-old as a “great coach and a great man” who took “responsibility for our team being in this position.”
Throughout his frustrating, injury-plagued season, Prescott has defended McCarthy publicly while openly speaking about wanting the team to keep him on board.

The ailments included a season-ending hamstring injury at Prescott in Week 9.
“It seems like his coach is playing on his last contract and I almost feel helpless, like I can't help him in this situation, especially a guy he believes in so much and who believes in being his head coach,” Prescott. he said after his injury.
