The upcoming benefit concert for victims of the Los Angeles wildfires will be exciting, captivating and will raise a lot of money… and big-name artists and bands are clamoring for a chance to help out.
TMZ has learned that interest from musicians wanting to get involved is so high that organizers are expanding the scope of this event.
We're told more than 50 artists and bands have requested to take part… and at the moment there are only 24 spots… although organizers are trying to add spots to accommodate the overwhelming response.
The benefit concert, called “FireAid,” was originally announced to take place at the new Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. According to our sources, it will also take place at The Forum, which is just down the street. That's how big the whole thing gets.
We have been informed that the performances will also be livestreamed.
The full lineup is still being finalized and we don't have any names at this time…but we're told all artists are based in Los Angeles.
We know it Taylor Swift And Beyonce – two of music's biggest acts – won't be involved… but that's fair considering they don't really have roots in LA, despite making their home here.
There's a huge pool to draw from and this concert is going to be HUGE…and it's going to help a lot of people starting from scratch.

Thousands were displaced by the Palisades and Eaton fires and Los Angeles is now tasked with rebuilding over 12,000 buildings lost in the inferno.
People have lost their homes, their businesses, their cars and virtually all of their possessions in the fire… and the rebuilding effort will be enormous.
It will also be this benefit concert.
