The Indianapolis Colts will be one of the teams playing the first NFL regular season game in Berlin later this year.
The Colts' opponent, along with the game date and start time, will be announced when the full 2025 NFL schedule is revealed this spring.
The NFL has held regular season games in Munich and Frankfurt since 2022, and the Berlin game will mark the fifth NFL regular season game in Germany and the first in the German capital.
The NFL played five American Bowl games at Olympic Stadium between 1990 and 1994, and also hosted the Berlin Thunder of NFL Europe from 2003 to 2007.
The Colts obtained marketing rights in Germany last April as part of the league's Global Markets Program.
“The NFL is making history in Berlin and the Colts are proud to be a part of this historic event in one of the most historic cities in the world,” said Colts owner and CEO Jim Irsay.
The Indianapolis Colts will host the NFL's first regular-season game in Berlin later this year.

The Olympic Stadium hosted the 1936 Olympic Games, the 1974 and 2006 men's World Cups, a 2011 women's World Cup, six Euro 2024 matches and world and European athletics championships.
Beginning in 2025, the NFL can schedule up to eight league-operated international regular-season games per season.
The commitment to play two regular season games in London at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and one game in Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu, home of Real Madrid, by 2025 has already been announced.
Fifty-five NFL regular season games have been played around the world throughout the league's history, and to date London, Munich, Frankfurt, Sao Paulo, Mexico City and Toronto have hosted games.
