The Eagles are setting the tone for the upcoming benefit concert for victims of the Los Angeles wildfires with a massive first donation…to the tune of over seven figures.
TMZ has learned that the famous rock band is donating $2.5 million.
It's unclear whether the huge donation means the Eagles will be among the acts performing at the FireAid benefit concert later this month.
As we first told you…there was one overwhelming response of musicians wanting to take part, with over 50 bands and artists wanting to take part. There are currently only 24 spots, but organizers are trying to add spots to accommodate more artists.
We're told the artists will be playing in Los Angeles… and it's worth noting that the Eagles were formed in LA in the 1970s and one of their biggest hits is “Hotel California.”
FireAid will be captivating, exciting and will raise lots of money… and the Eagles are getting the ball rolling on this one.
