Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit has called on his former rivals to sack his boss Ange Postecoglou.
Spurs suffered their 11th defeat of the campaign against the Gunners on Wednesday night as an own goal from Dominic Solanke and a goal from Leandro Trossard left them languishing in 13th place.
Tottenham's torrid luck with injuries this season provides some mitigation to their dismal run of results, while their Carabao Cup campaign has kept large-scale fan unrest at bay.
But Petit, who spent three seasons in north London with Arsenal, believes Spurs should pull the trigger now.
“I don't like to say this, but you can't fire the players, so you have to fire the coach,” he said on talkSPORT. 'The players look so miserable. Maddison, Jr.
'My son was amazing for five years, but what happened to him? “The Spurs are going down with every game.”

The defeat against Arsenal left Tottenham in 13th place in the Premier League standings
After the match, Postecoglou admitted that his team was not good enough in the first half and took responsibility for their second loss against their arch-rivals this season.
“We weren't good enough, especially in the first half,” he told TNT Sports. “We were too passive and let Arsenal take charge of the game, the second half was better but nowhere near good enough and unacceptable.”
'Ultimately, I think the responsibility is mine. It wasn't our intention when we started the game, the second half was better but the first half wasn't even close to the standards we wanted to set.
'I'm more interested in how we play our football. We have no other option, go back to work and prepare for a complicated match.
“They hurt me, but they are not acceptable. We have had too many defeats this year, we have missed too many games and that has to stop.”
'If you give up now, there's no point, but you must stop. Right now we have an important game on the weekend and that is our focus.
