Football fans were shocked to see Joleon Lescott's new haircut, as online followers claimed the former Manchester City and Aston Villa defender is now “unrecognisable”.
Lescott retired from professional football in 2017 after a 17-year career that included spells at Villa, Wolves, Everton and Manchester City, among others.
The centre-back finished his career having won every honor available in English football. During his time at Manchester City, Lescott won two Premier League titles, the FA Cup and the League Cup.
However, while the former England international shone on the pitch, he constantly stood out for his hairline off it, and fans are now in awe of his new look.
The 42-year-old is now trying to establish a career as a pundit and has landed a number of television jobs covering the Premier League since his retirement.
Lescott was recently part of TNT Sports' midweek Premier League coverage and viewers took to social media to comment on the former defender's new look.

Although it is not yet confirmed, Lescott appears to have undergone a successful hair transplant that has restored his hairline since retiring from the game.
The hair restoration process has become popular among elite footballers – David Beckham, Wayne Rooney, Harry Kane and former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp are among those who have undergone the procedure.
Lescott now boasts a full head of hair and comments on social media showed a unanimous reaction of amazement at her well-groomed style.
A hilarious comment comparing Lescott's before and after read on X: “Joleon Lescott's hairline: one of the greatest comebacks in football history.”
Another added similarly: “I almost didn't recognize Joleon Lescott. That's someone else,” along with a series of different emojis.
