Danielle Collins slaps herself on the bum and boasts about receiving a “big check for £148,000” as she accuses the Australian Open crowd of being “super drunk” for booing her as she beat the home loser.

American tennis star Danielle Collins criticized the Australian Open crowd as “super drunk” as she celebrated victory over local hopeful Destanee Aiava.

Collins cupped her ear and blew kisses to the crowd after beating the Australian qualifier in the second round of the women's singles event.

The American was then seen slapping him on the bum before attacking the home fans for booing her in a post-match interview.

“During the game I thought, as long as I'm here, I might as well take that big paycheck,” Collins said as she was booed in her on-court interview.

'We love five-star holidays, so a big chunk of that will go towards that.

'So thank you guys, thank you for coming here and supporting us tonight. Thanks guys, I love you.”

The American, the tenth seed in the tournament, doubled his bet on another side of the interview court.

Collins, who reached the final of the Australian Open in 2022, has already pocketed £101,665 in prize money by reaching the third round.

The 31-year-old, who reversed her decision to retire at the end of last season, doubled down on her on-court comments in her press conference.

Collins said, 'Well, I'm going to be here for two hours, putting up with all these people, might as well take the bigger paycheck, right?'

“I was very happy to do that and one of the best things about being a professional athlete is that the people who don't like you and hate you actually pay your bills.”

“It's a cool concept and obviously my career isn't going to last forever and every day when I have that kind of thing going on, I remind myself that they're paying my bills.”

'Every person who bought a ticket and came here to interrupt me can do what they do. Everything will go to the bottom Danielle Collins. So, yeah, go ahead, I love it.

When asked about her vacation plans, Collins expressed her desire to have a luxury trip to the Bahamas.

'My friends and I love five-star holidays, so I can guarantee that the next check will go towards a five-star trip, hopefully to the Bahamas.

'We like boats. Big ships. We like yachts. Yes, we will publish it and tell you how it goes.”
