NFL legend trolls Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany over their children's names

NFL legend Ryan Fitzpatrick teased naming his children Patrick and Brittany Mahomes after welcoming his third child this week.

On Monday, the power couple announced the birth of their second daughter, Golden Raye, with a joint Instagram post.

Golden Raye joins firstborn Sterling Sky, 3, and Patrick 'Bronze' Mahomes, 2, as the family continues to name their children after metals.

The theme not only applies to their children, but extends to their dogs, Steel and Silver.

Fitzpatrick, an NFL analyst for Prime Video, criticized Mahomes on Twitter and noted that they are “running out of precious metals,” to name his children.

Retweeting a video of Andy Reid talking about Mahomes' third child, Fitzpatrick wrote: “I agree with Andy's assessment, but the problem for the Mahomes is not having more, but the fact that they are running out of precious metals to name their children.

Patrick and Brittany's three children are named Sterling, Bronze and Golden Raye.

“I feel bad for Bronze,” he added jokingly.

Patrick was present as Brittany gave birth to Golden Raye thanks to the bye week the Chiefs received after a 15-2 season.

Despite not being on the field, the Chiefs quarterback noted how he kept an eye on the NFL while being with his family.

'It's been great. I mean, I'm just supporting. “Britain crushed him,” Mahomes said Tuesday.

'It's been great to welcome another little girl into our family and see how our other children react to her and having a ladybug and things like that.

“It's been a lot of fun and it was great that football was on TV when I was in hospital so I got to watch it a little bit.” Brittany was kind enough to let us watch soccer while she prepared to give birth to our second daughter.'

The Chiefs will host the Houston Texans in a divisional playoff matchup on Saturday.
