Tekashi 6ix9ine is taking LA Fitness to court, suing the gym over a brutal attack he suffered in 2023 that sent him straight to the hospital.
TMZ has obtained legal documents from Palm Beach County, Florida, revealing that the rapper is seeking more than $1 million in damages and claims the gym failed to provide adequate security to prevent the brutal attack by three men – who are believed to be members of the Latin Kings gang wore the suit – at one of the company's locations in South Florida.
Tekashi – real name Daniel Hernández – alleges that gym staff were not properly educated or informed about the safety protocols at LA Fitness, and alleges that employees failed to promptly request police presence upon becoming aware of the attack.
He claims this was due to LA Fitness' negligence brutally beatenattacked and robbed, resulting in physical injury, pain and suffering, disability, humiliation, medical costs, loss of income and a reduced quality of life.
TMZ obtained footage of the attack at the time, which shows Tekashi being punched repeatedly while trying to protect his face.
He suffered injuries to his jaw, ribs and back and three people were subsequently arrested in connection with the attack.
