Luke Hoffmannone of the nearly 1,500 rioters pardoned on January 6th Donald TrumpHe is “grateful” after following the executive order… and has no plans to apologize for his role in the attempted coup.
We caught up with Luke on “TMZ Live” on Tuesday, less than a day after POTUS used his newly restored executive powers to pardon his supporters who stormed the Capitol four years ago.
Luke – who pleaded guilty to assaulting police during the incident – says he is “very grateful” to be coming home to his family in the hope of returning to his everyday life.
He has a message for those who are critical of him after the takeover attempt: It's all about telling us the perspective.
From his perspective, on January 6, he was merely acting in self-defense for himself and his wife, stating that one needed to be there to fully understand the situation.

He adds… “Things are not as simple as a given narrative. Things can happen a certain way…I think things will work out over time.”
Luke says there are two sides to every story – but he admits he can only speak from his own experience as he doesn't keep up with the other January 6 insurrection cases – and he says he doesn't watch any coverage or use social media.
Luke encourages critics to let the January 6 rioters tell their own stories… and not be influenced by what's circulating online.
