Philly roots are apparently thicker than blood in the Kelce household…because Fletcher Cox told TMZ Sports he is safe Jason Kelce would cheer for the Eagles to beat them Travis Kelce's Chiefs when they meet in the Super Bowl next month.
It would set up a showdown between Philly and Kansas City if both teams won on Sunday… and Fletcher is confident the Eagles will keep their end of the bargain at home against the Commanders.
The former Birds D-lineman said he expects at least a 10-point win … although he said he has a lot of respect for it Jayden Daniels and the rest Dan Quinn's Washington team.
Of course, the Chiefs would then have to beat the Buffalo Bills at Arrowhead Stadium to make a duel between the Eagles and Travis a success… but if that happens, Cox is confident that his famous former teammate will be largely green would wear day.
“We know he’s going with his team,” Cox said with a broad smile.
The Kelce brothers actually faced the dilemma. Previously… you'll recall, Philadelphia and KC met in SB LVII – but Jason was playing at the time, so he had no choice in the matter. In the games since his retirement, Jason has fully committed to Travis – he wore red throughout the tight end's playoff run last season.
No matter what happens in the next few weeks, Cox says either way he's happy to be in the stands for Sunday's NFC Championship game … and tells us his body certainly feels better on Mondays since he's retired is.
