Diddy is prosecuting a grand jury witness and a lawyer for spreading allegations about him…and accusing them of making up lies to get media attention.
The disgraced mogul sues Courtney Burgess – a man who appeared as a witness before the grand jury – and Ariel MitchellBurgess' lawyer for, in his opinion, spreading “outlandish allegations” and “baseless speculation” to satisfy the public's appetite for “wild lies.”
Diddy also pushed back against some specific allegations in the lawsuit, calling out Burgess for claiming he owned a video of the star sexually abusing celebrities and minors.
The rapper is clear that such tapes don't exist… and Burgess wants to say – and Mitchell wants to repeat – that the claims were nonetheless “obvious falsehoods or recklessly false statements.”

Diddy also pushes back against Courtney's claim that he received Kim Porter's memoir directly from her — even though those closest to Porter, like her children and her roommate of more than 20 years, have never heard of him.
As we told you… Diddy has already asked for a court order to silence Burgess – and his children have sent him a cease-and-desist letter to stop the Kim Porter book from being published.
Diddy is suing Burgess, Mitchell and the company that owns NewsNation for defamation, seeking at least $50 million.
We reached out to Ariel, who tells TMZ… “This is just a pathetic ploy to silence victims and people who advocate for victims. Diddy has time to sue, but refuses to accept the lawsuits already filed against him. I look forward to countersuing and ensuring that the court punishes not only Diddy, but also his attorneys who filed this pathetic lawsuit over this frivolous and baseless lawsuit.”
