Ready to represent female rappers at the Grammys

Doechii is hard at work rehearsing for an upcoming performance… possibly the biggest night of music in a few weeks, where she'll be vying for some of the top honors.
We caught up with the Florida rapper in front of a stage in Los Angeles on Wednesday and asked her about her Grammy nominations – she was nominated in three categories, including Best New Artist, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Album. .
As the only woman in the hip-hop category, she knows she's representing women in rap this year… and she's honored and excited about it.
She told us she was rehearsing for TV's “biggest night”… and when asked if she would perform, she was shy and said, “Maybe, maybe not… supposedly.”
The reigning rap king himself, Kendrick Lamarhas personal called Doechii “the most difficult” of all the rappers out there, male or female… and she often is mentioned in the same breath as an artist Glorilla And Megan Thee Stallionthat have let men down lately.
If Doechii wins on February 2nd, she tells us she'll speak from the heart — the “Denial Is a River” rapper says she doesn't know what she'll say… nor is she preparing a speech.
As for the wildfires that ravaged Los Angeles this month, destroying huge swaths of the city, displacing thousands of people and killing at least 27 people, she says it's heartwarming how the city has come together… and she loves the support that has come people find out about each other after the tragedy.
