Things will never be the same. Yes, a new and brilliant stadium that is proudly on the banks of the Mesey awaits Everton, but the idea of a derby that is played in another place other than Goodison Park or Anfield is difficult to understand.
That is why the enormity of this last accessory cannot be discarded.
For the last time in the League, Goodison will shake and draw thunder and expectations. On these occasions, there is no place like this.
This reporter, in several ways, attended Merseyside Derbies since the mid -1980s and these are the best I have seen in Goodison.
Note: The list is personal, it is executed chronologically and is here to cause memories.
It also acts as a reminder of how privileged is the city to capture the eyes of the world.

You never forget your first and almost 40 years later, the events of this day are crystalline.
The rain on the walk to the stadium, the imposing main stand that seemed to climb as high as the skyscraper; Kenny Dalglysh scoring after 21 seconds and pockets of red erupting in all corners.
I had gone with my dad, we had tickets for the upper level of the old park final, and at halfthand seen smiling before.
“A point will arrive in the future and, hopefully, Liverpool will be here and three null will be again,” he told me. 'You will understand then'.
However, the second half was equally dramatic. Everton responded with all his might, scored twice, Gary Lineker hit the bar and Trevor Steven caused panic every time the ball reached his sparking feet.
The two teams were the best in Europe that year. They showed why that wonderful afternoon.

Losing at Goodison Park was almost common for Liverpool at the beginning of the Era of the Premier League: Peter Beardsley returned to chase his old club in December 1992, Mark Ward entered from 20 yards after Bruce Grobbelaar has faced Steve McManaman in September 1993.
This game, however, was different. This was the night Joe Royle let the dogs of war and Everton devastated Liverpool. They won 2-0, but nothing stands out more than Duncan Ferguson's first goal for the club, his image directing the ball, burning eyes, while others are iconic.
“It was a great moment for the club, it was not so, bringing Big Joe back,” Ferguson told me four years ago in an interview for Mail Sport. 'It is a legend of the club. His first game … Everything went well for us. We haven't had many nights like that, right? So we have to enjoy them!
'Honestly, there is no better feeling than scoring a goal in a Derby game. Believe me. If you contribute to obtaining a result, of winning, there is nothing like that. Fans do derbies. They give you the enjoyment of football, they do the experience. It is the roar of the crowd, boy, right?
They roared that night, that's fine. Under those lights, a hero was born. We saw images of his header again while we talked.
“When you show me something like that, it makes me feel incredibly proud,” he said, smiling.
'At the end of the day, I have played in a Derby game and I have helped win a Derby game. Everyone should understand that, no matter what color the shirt was.

Five goals; Two penalties, one of which was surprised by Robbie Fowler. Duncan Ferguson running in front of the visitor section on the Bullens road, pressing his biceps and pointing out his Everton tattoo. Igor Bancan rubbing his hands on his head after being sent.
Jeff Winter, the referee who was never afraid of being the center of attention, making a decision after a decision that enraged both fans, each strident of his whistle acting as another coal shovel in a bonfire. He was crazy, exciting and agonizing and everything that should be a derby.
Then Gary Mcallister came. Even now, thinking about it, I can see that the ball bounces from my hanger on the upper Bullens road just in front of Paul Gerrard and realizing that his free kick was entering, 16 years after Dad's words of wisdom, Dad's wisdom, He knew exactly what he meant.

Time can play tricks with your memory, but time has not changed my belief that this was the best Everton team that was exhausted in Goodison Park since the days of Howard Kendall. David Moyes built a young and hungry team that for a period served everyone.
I was with them every week in my old role as a correspondent of the Everton of Liverpool Echo. I met the work David put to take the players to the club and how he worked together with the late President Bill Kenwright to give fans a team that could be proud.
Moyes had been criticized before this particular game that did not win enough games and that there was a lot of at stake; He had two good victories about Rafa Benítez in Goodison before (Lee Carsley, December 2004; Andy Johnson, September 2006) but things felt different.
The occasion was incredible. It was not a classic game in terms of soccer played, but it was the type of night that stopped the city, since the tension crawled like Ivy. Benítez wanted to reach penalties, but two unlikely heroes had other ideas, since Andy Van der Meyde crossed to give Gosling scored.
Peter Crouch once compared playing in Goodison how to be in a cage fight, so tight and imposing are the stands. When the place explodes, as it did tonight, there is no noise like this anywhere else in the country.
Gosling, a young man from Plymouth, was not aware of the enormity of what he had done and only told him a week later when he went to the cinema in the center of the city of Liverpool to see the curious case of Benjamin Button and besieged Asected autograph hunters.

Moyes described the unilateral derby as “the best performance of all my time here” at that time
Everton 2 Liverpool 0; Premier League, October 17, 2010
The conversations with Moyes before derbies tended to have a familiar tone. He always let you know that he just wanted the opportunity to put his hand on the shoulder of Liverpool and remove them. There are many objectives that an Everton manager must achieve, but the first, always, is to be the best dog in the city.
Moyes had been trying and trying for eight years and then, this Sunday afternoon, he felt as if he had arrived there. Everton was magnificent from beginning to end, trampling throughout Liverpool with rhythm and power and lethal finish of Mikel Arteta and Tim Cahill.
I did not hesitate to call it 'the best performance of my time here' and it was impossible not to argue with him. It was one of the most unilateral derbies of the last 25 years and 2-0 did not reflect the superiority of Everton.
'We weren't so bad, right? Roy Hodgson, the opposite number of Moyes, asked while leaving a particularly hostile press conference. No, Liverpool was worse than I thought, unable to deal with Frenzy Goodison. How it will be lost when it is gone.
P/S There is no place in this famous five for the reproduction of the fifth round of the FA 4-4 Cup in February 1991 or the League match that ended 0-0 in May 1989, the first Liverpool game later Hillsborough, purely because he was not in the stadium. However, both occasions show the best of what the city represents.
