A$AP Rocky is being tried on weapons charges… The Grammy-nominated rapper just rejected a deal from prosecutors in Los Angeles, opting for a jury trial instead.
L.A. County prosecutors offered him a deal: If Rocky pleaded guilty to one of two felonies, he would serve 180 days in jail and receive a seven-year suspended sentence, including three years of probation. But AR told a judge today that he had decided not to take the deal. If Rocky is found guilty at trial, he could face up to 24 years in prison.
We caught AR on his way to court this morning, but he made no comment.
Rocky – real name Rakim Mayers – is accused of firing a gun at a former boyfriend four times in the company of other men at a Hollywood hotel in 2021.

The police conducted a raid Rocky's home in 2022, shortly after returning from a trip to Barbados with his partner, Rihannathe mother of his 2 sons. Rocky was charged in 2022 with two counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm. He pleaded not guilty and was released on bail.
Rocky's lawyer, Joe Tacopinanow says the gun was a prop gun – a starter gun – used for show purposes.
More than 100 people were considered for the 12-person jury… the trial is expected to begin this week in downtown Los Angeles.
