Aaron Glenn has revealed that talks are ongoing about the future of quarterback Aaron Rodgers as he begins life as head coach of the New York Jets.
On Monday, Glenn and new general manager Darren Mougey spoke for the first time since he joined New York in recent days.
The Jets endured another miserable season with Rodgers at quarterback. The 41-year-old's first season ended with an injury after four snaps. Last season, the Jets finished 5-12.
Rodgers has teased the possibility of retiring, and playing elsewhere, and Glenn addressed his quarterback on Monday.
They will talk about Aaron Rodgers. “We have texted our communication with Aaron Rodgers and (decisions will be made) as we continue to look at the list,” he said.
'We're going to sit down and talk and build the whole list… we're waiting for that process. I can't tell you how long that process will take… (but) we're going to get the right answer.

Before Glenn headed to the podium with 1 Jets Dr, the playlist told him the first message of this new era coming through the auditorium speakers.
'Sweet Child O' Mine' was followed by 'Whatever It Takes' and 'Brightest Day' and 'Anything is Possible' and then, of course, Taylor Swift.
'Welcome to New York' played minutes before owner Woody Johnson led Glenn and Mougey onto the stage.
The Jets had narrowed these two down to 30 candidates, with Johnson claiming that New York was “blessed to have these two gentlemen here.”

The 52-year-old spent eight seasons as a cornerback for the Jets and later worked as a scout for the organization.
After hanging up his cleats, Glenn became a coach for the Browns and Saints before taking over as defensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions.
He now takes over for Jeff Ulbrich, who became interim head coach after Robert Saleh was fired midway through last season.
Glenn will work alongside Mougey, who has been named general manager. Mougey previously worked as an assistant GM for the Denver Broncos.
