Aaron Rodgers will hold crucial talks with the Jets over the next 24 hours as he evaluates whether he played his last game in the NFL.
The legendary quarterback made history Sunday when he threw his 500th career touchdown in the Jets' victory over the Dolphins, and rumors continue to circulate about his future.
At 41 years old, the Super Bowl champion and four-time MVP could have played his last game and revealed that conversations about his future are imminent.
“I'm going to come home and relax,” he told Fox Sports in an interview at MetLife Field immediately after the game, before adding, “But I'm not going to stop anyone.”
“I'll have conversations with the Jets tomorrow to see what they're thinking, and then we'll make a decision before it's too late in the offseason.”
Later, in his postgame press conference, Rodgers admitted that he doesn't know if anything “definitive” will come from those initial conversations with the Jets.

Rodgers revealed he will hold talks with the Jets in the next 24 hours about his NFL future.
“But I just need some time to think about my future in the game and my future here,” he continued.
'Whether they want me to be part of the next phase or if they're ready to move on, either way, I'm grateful for my two years here… I won't be angry or offended no matter what they decide. do.
'If they want to move on, if I still want to play. And if not, at some point I will let you know, if that is the case.”
He added: 'Honestly, I don't know (if I'll be here next season). If I did, I don't know if I'd tell you… but the truth is, I don't know.'
The quarterback confirmed that he would consider playing for another team, should he and the Jets decide to part ways.
“I did it once,” he said, referring to his move to New York after nearly two decades with the Green Bay Packers.
'Obviously, there are many hypotheses, so if I want to play, hypothetical number 1. If they want to move on, hypothetical number 2. Would I be willing to play for another team, hypothetical number 3? The answer is yes.'
Rodgers added: “I know I can still play.” I know I can still do the things I need to do to be successful. It all comes down to desire on your side. And finally, my desire to play… I have to take time, mentally and physically, to rest and relax.”
Rodgers threw four touchdowns and the Jets ended a dismal season with a win against Miami.
The 41-year-old insisted this situation was different from his departure from Green Bay, when he considered retiring before joining the Jets.
'In 2022 I knew my time in Green Bay was over. I just felt like it was time for all of us. It wasn't said… but I think we all understood it,” he explained.
“I needed to find out if I still wanted to play or not. If I could get the love for the game back. I have a huge love for the game now. I don't feel that. So I can't say it feels that way.
Rodgers is in no rush to decide his future, especially so soon after the end of the season.
“I had some hugs in the locker room, some emotional moments with some people I really care about. But it's not good to make emotional decisions about anything in life,” he said.
