Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe announced he will be leaving the Crimson Tide and entering the 2025 NFL draft.
The 22-year-old, a redshirt junior, has been Alabama's starting quarterback for the past two years.
But after a disappointing 2024 season, which ended with a loss to Michigan on New Year's Eve, Milroe decided to try his luck in next year's draft.
Some ESPN experts rank him as the No. 3 quarterback prospect in the 2025 class, behind Colorado's Shedeur Sanders and Miami's Cam Ward.
Milroe announced his decision in a statement in which he stated that “competing at the highest level” has been his “dream” since he was a child.
“First and foremost, I want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for his unwavering grace, his guidance, and the countless blessings in my life,” Milroe wrote.
