Alan Shearer has appointed a Premier League star who believes he was “very unfortunate” to miss the first Team of England by Thomas Tuchel for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, which was revealed on Friday.
There were some faces that return notable, new names and absent, with Jordan Henderson and Marcus Rashford winning their first national team teams in more than a year.
Myles Lewis-Skelly was also named in his first team of three lions, while Dan Burn de Newcastle, 32, was first included, since Mail Sport forecast exclusively.
But there was no space for Morgan Gibbs-White in Tuchel's opening team, despite its brilliant form for Nottingham Forest this season, which falls third at the table and in dispute to play football of the Champions League next season.
NO 10 of Nuno Espirito Santo has scored five goals and has registered seven assists in the Premier League in this term, but he was still overlooked by the World Cup qualifiers of the three lions against Albania and Latvia.
Shearer argued that Gibbs-White should have made the team, especially in the light of the inclusion of other players that he thinks did not do so much to win a place.

“It is very, very unfortunate not to be in England's team, when you look at other players that are, when you look at their performances this season,” said Newcastle striker Match of the Day.
'He has been one of the outstanding players of Nottingham Forest. But if he continues to play as he is, and there is no doubt what he can do, he will be in the England team in the future. I have no doubts about it.
Gibbs-White made his debut in England in August 2024 after being called by the interim boss Lee Carsley, and was appointed in consecutive squads under the Irish.
But he will have to wait until summer for his next opportunity to wear a shirt in England.
As for the rest of the Tuchel team, Kyle Walker kept his place in the background after his loan movement to AC Milan, despite fighting for the form this season. Meanwhile, Reece James will hope to make his first departure from England since March 2023.
Levi Colwill, Marc Guehi, Ezri Konsa, Tino Livramento, Jarell Quansah, Burn and Lewis-Skellly completed the defense.
In the center of the countryside, Cole Pale maintained his place despite the recent scrutiny, while Jude Bellingham, Eberrechi Eze, Declan Rice, Curtis Jones and Henderson joined him.
There was also a place for Morgan Rogers, who made his first two appearances in the colors of England against Greece and Ireland from the bank in November.

Another remarkable absent was Aston Villa Ollie Watkins striker, who shone in the 2024 Eurocup

Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford and Jordan Henderson obtained their first calls in more than a year
Harry Kane is expected to lead the line and worked with Tuchel at Bayern Munich last season with great effect.
Phil Foden, Anthony Gordon, Jarrod Bowen, Dominic Solanke and Rashford complete the front line.
There were many notable absences, some of which can be put into injuries. Bukayo Saka, Harry Maguire, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kobbie Mainoo, Lewis Hall and Noni Madueke were among those who were lost with confirmed injuries or physical conditioning concerns.
Tuchel spoke with the exile of England Ben White, who is again after a dismissal of three months after knee surgery, but the Arsenal star is not on his team, since he has only played 102 minutes since November. There were no indications of how his conversation was.
