Ang Postecoglou urged Tottenham's supporters to help his team so calm his nerves while trying to save his season against Az Alkmaar in the Europa League.
The Spurs are 1-0 after the first leg and their season will be reduced to winning the first leg on Thursday, but the performances have been poor.
The Posttecoglou team was booed halfway before fighting two down to take a point at home against Bournemouth.
“I can't dictate people how they interact,” said Postecoglou. 'But, the crowd of Az certainly helped them and we need our crowd to get behind the children on Thursday to turn it into an atmosphere in which we may lose some of that nervousness and anxiety within our game.
“If we start the game strongly, you will get the pleasant and noisy place, what will help us.”
The anxious start of Tottenham, by mistake, against Bournemouth put the local crowd at the limit.

“A safe chaotic game,” said Postecoglou. 'We added to chaos and it was a bit self -inflicted, especially in the first half. We were really careless with our death and that allowed the game to play in the terms that Bournemouth would like with his transition football.
“So yes, chaotic, but with 2-0 down it would have been very easy, particularly with the atmosphere as it was, for the children simply let the game escape, but the credit for them, found a way to return to the game and obtained something from it.”
Heung-min scored the tie with a penalty in the 84th minute but was not satisfied.
“I'm still very disappointed,” said his son. 'I am frustrated by not having three points. When you play at home you are waiting for three points. Bournemouth is a really good team, especially this season, outstanding, but I feel that it is not good enough for us.
'In the first half we have been careless. When you are depressed and your trust is a bit low and you are doing things that you would not do. You want to make more and make mistakes, it happens.
'We have to be strong. Trust makes a big difference. And especially after Thursday, things are a bit stressed, but you have to keep calm, do simple things and leave the tunnel.
