Angel Reese Fans Jump to Her Defense After WNBA Star's New Year's Eve Outfit Causes Internet Frenzy

After she deleted her Instagram account on Thursday, Angel Reese's fans came to her defense and claimed she didn't deserve the internet chaos associated with her risqué New Year's Eve outfit.

Reese's brown outfit exposed much of her chest and sparked many reactions that the outfit was inappropriate and that she was setting a bad example for her fans with her behavior.

The Chicago Sky star's followers weighed in, saying she dresses and acts like any other 22-year-old.

Reese posted the video of her outfit to her Instagram page, and her removal came 48 hours after the selfie video showed off the brown dress.

Along with Caitlin Clark, Reese has been at the forefront of the rise in popularity of women's basketball in the United States and has been the more controversial figure of the two, endearing her to and polarizing her fan base.

That fan base made sure to try to reach out to Reese, even if his main social media source doesn't exist.

'Angel Reese bothers people because she doesn't fit the stereotype of a basketball player dressed as a tomboy. “She literally does nothing but have media visibility and be cute dressed like a normal woman her age,” said one Reese fan.

'I hope it's a technical problem and not that she is disabled. But if he did, I respect that. You have to do what you have to do.'

'Or is he taking a break (from social media)? She's strong and I don't think she's going to let her hate be the reason for her deactivation.'

“They actually made Angel Reese deactivate her account because they bully this girl and over-sexualize everything.”

Reese's first season in the WNBA was cut short by injury. However, he will return to the court as part of the new Unrivaled 3-on-3 basketball league.

The 22-year-old was one of the WNBA's best before her left wrist injury, combining with Clark in the WNBA All-Star Game to defeat the Olympic-bound Team USA.

Reese has not made any statements on any of her other social media accounts regarding her disappearance from Instagram.
