Arizona became the second university basketball program to apologize for the anti-mormon song this season after the Wildcats lost to Byu on Saturday.
Byu is the most prominent Mormon school in the United States, with the school sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of the last days.
And after the Cougars achieved a victory in extra time 96-95 in No. 19 Arizona, local fans pointed to the religion of their visitors.
As seen in video From after the final bell, fans were heard 'fucking the Mormons' while they appeared.
And that took out a strong reprimand from the Atlético de Arizona director, Desireé Reed-Francois, who apologized for the subsequent words.
“After tonight's male basketball game, we were struck by an unacceptable song,” he said in a statement.

'In the name of the Athletics Department of the University of Arizona, we apologize to Byu, their athletes, coaches and fans. The song does not reflect who we are and we should not have happened.
Reed-Franco's apology produces a couple of months after Providence fans sang the same in early December.
Steven Napolillo, the announcement of Providence, also apologized by the “unacceptable songs.”
“I want to apologize to their coaches and institution for the unacceptable songs of our student body tonight,” he wrote in X.
'Once he caught my attention, I went to the student body and made them stop. That does not represent who providence College and what we defend. We're sorry.
The offensive song on Saturday occurred after a chaotic ending in Tuscon.
Caleb Love de Arizona nailed two free throws with 12.5 seconds to give the hosts an advantage of a point, although its conversion occurred after it seemed to have converted a 'and one' with the possibility of a three -point play.
However, the referees determined that the lack of it was not a lack of shot.
Seconds later, Richie Saunders of Byu was sent to the line with only 3.2 seconds after Trey Towsend was called for a foul.
That decision, which resulted in great boos of the crowd, allowed Byu to take the leadership again and finally deliver to Arizona his ninth defeat of the season.
