Armando Broja has revealed that Everton made multiple attempts to sign him and has vowed to do everything possible to end their chronic scoring problems.
Broja, 23, made his first start under Sean Dyche in Sunday's 2-0 home defeat against Nottingham Forest, which left Everton three points above the relegation zone.
The Albanian international, on loan at Goodison from Chelsea, had already suffered an Achilles injury and feels a sense of duty towards Everton, whose 15 goals this season are the fewest in the Premier League apart from Southampton .
“I spoke to Everton not only last summer but the summer before,” he explained.
'We've always had good conversations, so I knew they liked me. When they came for me on the last day of the transfer window), it was a no-brainer.
“Going from Chelsea to Everton and recovering from my injury meant a new beginning.

“It's an added incentive to give my best. I want to help the team, whether it's with goals, assists, holding the ball, running behind, creating something. I always want to show something.
“I wouldn't say Forest was one of my best games and it was frustrating for all of us, but I sure want to give it my all and do better.”
Although understandably rusty after his sacking, Broja believes there is more to come and that Everton need him.
New owner Dan Friedkin wants to invest in January to help Everton in the relegation fight, but will be restricted by the Premier League's sustainability and profit rules.
“For me, on a positive note, it was a special day because it's been a long, long time since I started in the Premier League,” Broja acknowledged.
“It's been frustrating with injuries and things like that, but I'm happy to be back fit and starting for the first time.”

“I would have loved it if we had won the game and it would have been different, but we have to recover.” But I'm delighted with the fact that I started.
“I've always been a pretty confident guy, so I never had any nerves before a game. I was just concentrating and trying to focus on the game ahead of me.”
