His injury is a blow for the Gunners as Jesus had just found form after a slow start to the season.

He scored five goals in three days against Crystal Palace last month and looked destined to play a key role for the rest of the season.

Arsenal will now have to do without him, while they are also currently without their talisman Bukayo Saka after he suffered a hamstring injury.

The England international is not expected to return to action until March.
