Nicki Minaj could face criminal charges over the incident alleged in her former manager's latest lawsuit … TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that Detroit police have sent a request for a warrant to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office, which is currently being reviewed to determine whether criminal charges will be filed.
The decision whether to file charges rests with the prosecutor.
This is all related to the lawsuit Brandon Garrett — a man who claimed he previously managed Minaj — filed on Friday … claiming it was her got physical with him in Detroit in April 2024.
According to the lawsuit, Garrett claims he was called into her dressing room after a show … and he says she flew into a rage when she learned he once sent someone else to pick up one of her prescriptions.
Garrett claims Nicki repeatedly told him his “life was over” before hitting him in the face with an open palm. He says Nicki then hit him on the wrist and knocked documents out of his hand.
