Al Jardine He may have to travel to Kokomo… as the Beach Boys star is battling legal trouble after being sued for allegedly refusing to sign merchandise.
Here's the deal… a man named Mead Chasky is suing the Beach Boys crooner, claiming Jardine agreed to sign merchandise advertised as “signed by three members of the Beach Boys.”
However, according to Mead's lawyer, Matthew J. BlitJardine refused to sign the memorabilia… thereby violating his contractual obligation.
Chasky is suing Jardine for $100,000…plus he wants the singer to cover his legal fees.
Jardine co-founded the Beach Boys in 1961 Brian, Dennis And Carl Wilson and her cousin Mike Love. He is still a member of the group…he has played with them regularly for more than 60 years.
Of course, there have been some power struggles between band members in recent years… although Jardine released a single, “Wish,” last year and dedicated it to his longtime bandmate Brian Wilson. He also donated a portion of the proceeds to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
We contacted Jardine. No response so far.
