The long-time Hollywood producer and director of the niece tells TMZ … George is surrounded by family last Saturday, including his wife, son, his daughter-in-law and his grandchildren.
The cause of death is unclear.
George is best known for leading the Hitman film “Great Pointe Blank” from 1997. John CusackPresent Minnie driverAlan Arkin and And Aykroyd.
He also wrote and staged the thriller comedy “Miami Blues” from 1990 Fred WardPresent Alec Baldwin And Jennifer Jason Leigh.
George's first feature was “Gas-SSS” of the 1970s and aroused the attention of the groundbreaking independent film director Roger Corman. The two worked together on a series of Hollywood projects.
He was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and moved to Beverly Hills … to meet his wife as a child … Share 1957, when he was 15 years old … they stayed together and were married for 62 years.
George was 82.
Quiet in peace
