Billy Ray Cyrus was hit by brutal technical problems during his performance at the Liberty Ball celebrating Trump's inauguration – and yes, it was an absolute horrorfest.
On Monday night everything went wrong, and Billy was already on the battle bus – rocking out in a hoarse voice, without a band, and trying out an a cappella version of Lil Nasis “Old Town Road”…yes, the one he starred in.
It was already headed for epic failure, and Billy seemed to know it – he was trying to get the crowd to sing along. But then… dun, dun, dun – his guitar broke down.
Billy, visibly distressed, pleaded with the backstage crew: “Is anyone awake? Where is everyone? Is there someone back there? Can someone turn my guitar back on?” – but no luck.
However, BRC tried to twist it by pointing it out Carrie Underwood had technical problems even earlier. He used it as a life lesson, telling the crowd… “When you have technical difficulties in life, you just have to keep going. Or as President Trump would say, 'You have to fight!'”
He then chose an a cappella version of his 1992 hit “Achy Breaky Heart.” — But let's be honest, the whole thing was a hot mess, and fans online wasted no time talking about it, calling it downright embarrassing.
