Lynch began the 1990s by moving to television in the early 1990s to direct the cult classic TV show Twin Peaks, which spawned a film and a reboot in 2017. His third and final Oscar nomination as a director was in 2002 for “Mulholland Drive.” In 2019 he was awarded an honorary Oscar.
Lynch has also appeared in films from time to time… and most recently he showed his face on screen in Steven Spielberg's semi-autobiographical film “The Fabelmans” – as director John Ford.
