A confident NFL player has bet $1.3 million on the Kansas City Chiefs beating the Buffalo Bills in Sunday's AFC Championship game.
The two bitter enemies face off at Arrowhead Stadium with a spot in the Super Bowl on the line.
Josh Allen and the Bills have already inflicted one loss on the Chiefs this season, which was one of two losses the reigning champions suffered all season. The other came in Denver in Week 18, when several starters rested.
But the Chiefs are perennial playoff winners and are just two wins away from becoming the first team in NFL history to win a third consecutive Super Bowl.
They also eliminated the Bills from the playoffs last season in Buffalo during a dazzling run that also saw them defeat the Baltimore Ravens on the road.
And that playoff prowess has inspired one fan to bet big on Patrick Mahomes and his teammates, kicking in $1.3 million for the Chiefs to punch their ticket to the Super Bowl in New Orleans on Feb. 9.

Fox News reported that the bet was placed on the Chiefs (-130) moneyline at Caesars Sportsbook. If he wins, the total payout will be $2.3 million.
History is also on the Chiefs' side. Three of Buffalo's last four playoffs have ended against the Chiefs, starting with a 38-24 loss at Kansas City in the AFC championship game following the 2020 season.
A year later in Kansas City came a thrilling 42-36 overtime loss in which Buffalo blew a three-point lead in the final 13 seconds of regulation.
And then there was last year, when Tyler Bass missed a 44-yard field goal attempt wide right with 1:43 left in a 27-24 loss against the visiting Chiefs.
Skip Bayless, however, believes the competition has already been rigged in the Chiefs' favor to keep Taylor Swift in the sport.
Swift, who watched the Chiefs alongside Caitlin Clark last weekend, has been at Kansas City games since she and Travis Kelce started dating in the summer of 2023.
And Bayless believes the NFL will rig the AFC Championship to get Swift back to the Super Bowl, after watching Kelce and his team defeat the 49ers last year.

“The memo will go out, just like it did last week, 'make sure Taylor Swift gets to New Orleans for the Super Bowl,'” he said in his show of the same name.
“Without her, the NFL loses millions and millions of viewers who will tune in, primarily to see what she's wearing in that luxury box at the Superdome.”
So Mahomes, no matter how shaky he is, must be shored up. “He needs to be protected by the referees, just like he was on Saturday at home against the Texans,” Bayless continued.
'This is the Taylor Swift effect. She is a one-woman ratings giant. Protect her! Support her! She rewards her boyfriend's team with phantom penalties. Take them to New Orleans! The NFL needs Swifties. Protect them! Support them! Make sure the Bosses advance.
