Brett Favre admits he was initially very scared when he found out about his Parkinson's diagnosis… telling TMZ Sports At first he thought, “It was the end of the world.”
Favre got candid with us last week about his high-profile health battle…revealing that his initial thoughts were pessimistic when doctors told him in January 2024 that he had the disease after experiencing some issues with it had in his right hand.

He said he thought “the world was collapsing in front of me”… and he wondered aloud how it could all happen.
“I’m healthy,” he said. “I am very active. I mean, that won’t happen to me.”
However, Favre says that now, after a year, he has a completely different mindset.
“I try to live in the present,” he said, “and just make the most of what I have.”
The 55-year-old Hall of Famer pointed to his family, his friends and his “great support group” as reasons to stay positive. He also said the Parkinson's medication he takes has relieved his symptoms.
However, he revealed that his mind sometimes wanders to what may be on the horizon, telling us: “There's always the fear of what happens next – what's the next step?”
