A former Premier League manager issued a brutal verdict in the Man United team this season, arguing that none of them would approach the initial XI during the club's golden years with Sir Alex Ferguson.

He selected Bruno Fernandes as the closest to do so, but argued that even he would only be in a position to put cones down and deliver bibs.

The Red Devils are ready to fly almost all the 'worst' of the Premier League in the history of the club out of the water this season.

In the last full season of Erik Ten Hag in Old Trafford, his team recorded his lowest ending on the upper flight renowned (eighth). But that record will break a year later, with United languishing in 14th under Ruben Amorim.

Veteran manager Harry Redknapp argued that United is just a great club named today, since they continue to travel in the bushes of their previous success.

He compared the stars of United past with his current group of players and argued that Amorim does not have the staff to change the fortune in Old Trafford.

'I like the manager Ruben Amorim, but it will have been changing years (Man United), if it can be done. He has become a great club alone in name, 'said Redknapp The sun.

'You would look at the day of United of Fergie and you would see superstar everywhere. Amorim would love only one.

'Bruno Fernandes is the closest and even more than a place in the squad. I would not have a prayer to make the team.

'Who would you launch? Giggs, Scholes, Beckham, Roy Keane, Paul Ince, even Nicky Butt or Darren Fletcher? It is not an opportunity.

“If Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer struggled to get a game, Fernandes would not overcome the cones and delivering bibs.”

Redknapp, who achieved nine different sides throughout his 30 -year -old managerial career, continued to observe that he would have a much better record against United if he faced the current team, led by the captain of the Fernandes Club.

He added: “And I tell you what, if Bruno and Co had been in United when I managed, I would know everything about winning in Old Trafford.”

Fernandes is the main scorer and assistance provider of United in the Premier League this season (six and seven respectively), and has won some vital points in recent months.

However, the Portuguese midfielder has been attentive to fans and experts, with Roy Keane pointing more recently to Fernandes a couple of weeks ago.

Keane accused the 30 -year -old of not being “a fighter” and affirming that “talent is not enough” to captain the club.

But Amorim jumped to Fernandes's defense even though he acknowledged that the player can sometimes get under people's skin.

When asked about Keane's comments, he said: 'I heard about that, I have a different opinion. Roy Keane has great standards of his time. I think my opinion is more important than Roy Keane because I am the coach.

'Bruno is really important for us in the club, especially for me. He is playing well in a difficult context. He always wants responsibility.

'I know how Captain does things sometimes with his arms, criticizing teammates. Above all, it is a bit of frustration. He wants to win and sometimes it is difficult to deal with that frustration.
