Suspected murderer from Idaho Bryan Kohberger He might have had more practice than anyone thought before he allegedly killed four University of Idaho students…It turns out he was being investigated for a home invasion that had many of the hallmarks of the gruesome murders.
The home invasion occurred in late 2021 in Pullman, Washington, just over a year before the Univ. from Morden, Idaho in a town just a few miles away.
Pullman Police Department
A woman inside the home told police, “I heard my door open and I looked over and someone was wearing a ski mask and had a knife.”
Police bodycam video just surfaced, obtained by ABC News, showing the police response to the home invasion.
The woman says she fought off her attacker when “I kicked the shit out of them and screamed super loud and they flew back into my closet and then ran out my door and up the stairs.”
The home invasion occurred at 3:30 a.m., and the murders in Idaho also occurred in the early hours of the morning – around 4 a.m.
Thirteen days after the home invasion, Kohberger was named a person of interest. It's unclear why he was on police radar, but he was eventually removed from the suspect list, in part because of the difference in height. Kohberger is 1.80 meters tall and the house robbery suspect was observed to be somewhere between 1.70 meters and 1.75 meters tall.
Pullman police say there is no reason to believe Kohberger was the intruder, but the case remains unsolved.
As you know, Kohberger is accused of murdering four students with a knife… Ethan Chapin20, Xana Kernodle20, Kaylee Goncalves21, and Madison Mogen.
He is in custody awaiting trial.
