The Los Angeles Chargers paid tribute to the Los Angeles Fire Department on Saturday afternoon before their playoff matchup against the Houston Texans.
His tribute comes as wildfires continue to rage through Los Angeles, destroying property, forcing residents to evacuate and putting the city on hold.
Visiting Houston for the wild card game, the Chargers honored first responders with their warm-up gear.
Players and staff wore warm-up t-shirts and caps with LAFD printed in their team colors. The team announced the kit hours before the playoffs.
'Get ready for the city,' they wrote on social media with a blue heart emoji.
Commentator Ian Eagle thanked the tribute on the CBS broadcast and extended his thoughts to the victims of the calamity.

While the Chargers played their road game on Saturday, the LA Rams' playoff matchup against the Minnesota Vikings was moved from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
Additionally, the Lakers and Clippers postponed games scheduled for Saturday at their respective homes in Los Angeles.
Earlier this week, eerie images were released from their practice facility as the team arrived at training camp amid the fires.
Coach Jim Harbaugh had the Chargers' offensive and defensive units practice separately to limit their time on the field. The air quality at the team complex was 185 on Wednesday. Anything over 150 is considered unhealthy.
“Heavy prayers go out to all those who have been affected by this tragedy,” Harbaugh told media Thursday while wearing an LAFD baseball cap. 'Also, I have been very inspired by the first responders, firefighters and residents who have come together and supported each other. That has been tremendously inspiring.
'So even though we've been on mission,' he continued, 'abundant prayers and thoughts to all who are in this fight. We see neighbors on top of their houses helping other neighbors, it's really inspiring.”
The Chargers come into Saturday's game coming off an 11-6 season that saw them finish second in the AFC West. On the other hand, the Texans finish atop the AFC South with a 10-7 record.
