Charles Barkley is not making friends exactly in front of the NBA highly anticipated movement to the cable giant next season.
The member of the Hall of Fame and the former NBA MVP criticized the NBA analyst of ESPN, Kendrick Perkins, as an 'idiot' on Thursday after the comments on the Los Angeles Lakers following his acquisition of Luka Doncic.
“At this time, Los Angeles Lakers are saving the NBA,” Perkins told their fellow ESPN hosts on Wednesday with LeBron James, Doncic & Co. Mounting a seven -game winning streak.
Not initially mentioning Perkins by name, Barkley launched the center of Journeyman during the TNT's inside on the NBA Thursday episode. Before the Lakers welcomed the New York Knicks visitors on Thursday night in Los Angeles, Barkley referred to Perkins as a “fool” for suggesting that Los Angeles has resurrected the NBA season in some way.
“I saw a fool, idiot on television saying that the Lakers saved the NBA,” Barkley said. “He is an idiot and a fool, but he knows who he is.”
“First of all, the Lakers have had two great weeks,” Barkley told their TNT Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O'Neal coanfrerion. 'He said the Lakers saved the NBA season. That is because the fools in the other network, which we are going to work for next year, that is all they speak.

Barkley criticized Perkins and ESPN about what he perceives as an obsession with the Lakers
“Hello man, the Lakers are very good,” Barkley continued, as cited by AwFuleling.com. 'I have a long way to go. But the reason the season has gone very well: the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Oklahoma City Thunder, they just want to talk about the warriors and the Lakers. Both are doing very well. Do not be misunderstood. If it turns out to be wrong, I have no problem with that.
'But you are all idiots because everyone talks about the Lakers and warriors all the time. The Cleveland Cavaliers have won 12 consecutive games. Oklahoma City got the MVP and are on fire. You all talk about who is in second place. That is the reason why I get angry. Hey, the Lakers are doing very well. I don't mind being wrong. The warriors are very good.
“But that is because the fools in the other network, which we will become fools next year when we work on that network, but Oklahoma City and the cavs have been enriching for six months. All of you talk about teams that had two great weeks.
Barkley preceded his comments saying that he wants 'all the smoke' and Perkins did not disappoint.
In response to the round rebound mound, former Celtics Center directed a publication on social networks in TNT.
“Hi @nbaontnt,” Perkins wrote in X. “I might mean that older person Charles Barkley will be close. When he sees an idiot or dumb in person, be sure to maintain the same energy. He can come to play with me if he wants and ima addresses his ** like the numbers in a house. Directly of 409 Homeboy and we do not excite any and we vanish.
The area code 409 belongs to eastern Texas, where you can find the native of Perkins Beaumont along with the Louisiana border.
'I Chuck, stop the BS with the “ Y'all' ',' ', Smith wrote in X.' Attach a name. I know that I have been talking about @CAVS is the threat No.1 for @celtics. Once you come here, there will be some people waiting to call you silly. PS: However, you know I love you. See soon.
Barkley made it clear that he referred to Perkins in TNT.

And the two have exchanged words over the years. It is usually Barkley accusing Perkins of trying to be provocative to appease his ESPN bosses.
Now, however, with TNT losing the national rights of the NBA next season, Barkley and TNT will be seen within the NBA team in ESPN.
The program will continue to be produced by TNT in Network Studios in Atlanta, but Americans can only see from the next season in ESPN.
Perkins, who recently signed an extension with ESPN, or is not expected to leave their coanfitations to leave space for Barkley & Co.
Barkley has been a critic for a long time of ESPN, its NBA coverage and the general atmosphere of the network.
“The times have changed, Kenny,” he told Smith in November while arguing the reports of the ESPN agreement. “We have to kiss our ass.”
