The Titans desperately need a quarterback, though Chris Johnson advises his former squad to carry on anyway Travis Hunter in the NFL Draft in the spring – telling TMZ Sports Tennessee would be “absolutely stupid” to leave out the Heisman Trophy winner.
If the season ended today, the Titans would be 3-13 with the No. 2 overall pick… and many experts believe they should target a signal-caller like this Shedeur Sanders or Cam Ward there – as their QB play has been terrible this year.
But Johnson believes passing up on Hunter as a young player would be a big mistake… and tells us he thinks the two-way Colorado star could change everything for his former team.
“I think we would be absolute fools to leave Travis out,” he said.
A big reason Johnson likes the move is because he's a fan of it Will Levis.
CJ2K says that while the former second-round pick is just 5-15 as a starter and only has 20 passing touchdowns to 16 interceptions… he can be an effective leader at some point in the near future.
“I think Will ends up being the quarterback,” the former tailback said. “Sometimes it takes time. Look at some of these quarterbacks like Jordan Love and some of these other guys – they had time to sit down and learn. Like years to sit down and learn. So I feel like he's going to come in his own.

Of course, the Titans may not even have a chance against Hunter or any of the top QBs – because a win over the Houston Texans later on Sunday could drop them significantly in the rankings.
On the other hand, a loss could catapult them to No. 1 – where Johnson would prefer to take Travis.
