Controversial former NFL star Antonio Brown uses vile racial slur to describe Notre Dame player Charles Du

Former NFL player Antonio Brown has come under fire after calling Notre Dame football player Charles Du a 'ch**k'.

Du went viral Thursday when the Fighting Irish posted an emotional Sugar Bowl victory over Georgia in the wake of the deadly New Orleans terrorist attack.

The cornerback, a player from Beijing who went to high school in California, had his name written in Chinese text on the back of his jersey.

A clip of Du was published by ESPN before Thursday's game and, at the time of writing, it had been viewed more than 2 million times on X.

Former wide receiver Brown reposted the video on his own account and wrote alongside it: 'Ch**k of the day.'

The 36-year-old, who has a history of controversial social media antics, added: “A legend… got a NIL deal for this kid.”

Brown's post had been viewed nearly 1.5 million times at the time of writing. This drew criticism from several followers, one of whom urged Elon Musk to ban Brown from the social media platform.

'Enough with the racist comments. The game is international now, but here you still use insults,” one fan wrote.

“Come on Antonio, that's the same as me saying the N-word,” another added.

'It's okay, there's no reason for this. @elonmusk ban this man,” said a third, while a fourth added: “Very racist? Idiot.'

The former Buccaneers and Steelers player was a vocal supporter of Donald Trump before and after his resounding electoral victory over Kamala Harris.

Brown attended a Trump rally and led a voter registration drive at a party — both in Pittsburgh — before the 78-year-old was ultimately elected president for the second time.

Brown and his former Steelers teammate Le'Veon Bell appeared on stage alongside Trump, before greeting him on the tarmac when he landed back in Pittsburgh shortly after his former team's game against the New York Jets.

The seven-time Pro Bowler last appeared on the field in January 2022, when he ripped off his pads and jersey at MetLife Stadium in the middle of a game against the Jets and headed to the locker room.
