Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly asked Al-Nassr to sign Casemiro from Manchester United, in what could be a critical factor determining his future.
The Portugal icon is in the final six months of his £175million-a-year contract with the Saudi Pro League side and is considering a move elsewhere.
He and Casemiro won 12 trophies together at Real Madrid, including four Champions Leagues and two LaLiga titles, while they were also reunited at Manchester United with Erik ten Hag.
The two are close friends and the move could be viable considering United are open to selling the Brazilian and eager to offload his £350,000-a-week wages.
However, Mail Sport reported last week that Saudi sides Al-Qadsiah and Al-Ittihad are also interested in the 32-year-old midfielder.
Brand reports that a move to MLS is a potential option for Ronaldo, now 39 years old. Conquering America has been an attractive option for some of the world's best players, including Pelé and Lionel Messi.

Ronaldo's former Old Trafford teammate Wes Brown has urged the striker to make the move in the United States.
“Cristiano Ronaldo has to go to the United States, especially considering that Lionel Messi is also there,” he told The Sports Daily.
“I have seen Ronaldo play several times and he has been a good standard, he is scoring goals and looks very fit for his age, he is still running at full speed at 40 years old. He wants to play as long as he can and is a player who can do it”. Manually choose where you want to play next.

Saudi bosses are said to be confident they will be able to keep their crown jewel anyway, but securing Casemiro's signature would be a boost to their hopes of retaining Ronaldo.
Like other sports stars attracted to Saudi rials, Ronaldo has integrated himself into the country's football aspirations.
He is an ambassador for the 2023 World Cup in Saudi Arabia and recently said that he is “convinced” that it will be the “best World Cup of all time.”

However, for a success-driven person, Ronaldo may be dissatisfied with Al-Nassr's progress on the field.
The 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup is the only trophy he has won with them since arriving in December 2022.
This season they sit fourth in the Saudi Pro League, 11 points behind Karim Benzema's Al-Ittihad after 13 games.
