A University of Georgia football player was caught in an embarrassing moment after interfering with a referee during a play in the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
Early in the second quarter, on the first play of Georgia's third drive against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Bulldogs quarterback Gunner Stockton completed a pass to wide receiver Arian Smith for a massive 67-yard gain.
However, the play was erased due to a sideline collision between side judge JB Garza and Georgia redshirt sophomore cornerback Parker Jones.
As Garza ran toward the sideline to follow the play, he ran into Jones, who was unable to get out of the way.
The result of that was a flag for sideline interference that ended up going from a ball at the Notre Dame 11 to the Notre Dame 26.
Georgia had to settle for a field goal along the way when ESPN cameras caught Jones standing as far from the field as possible.

The president of Barstool Sports shared a clip of the incident. Dave Portnoy, who captioned the video with'This damn guy' plus two laughing emojis.
“It's a tough time to be Parker Jones on the Internet,” ESPN's Pat McAfee said.
Tom Fornelli of CBS Sports joked: “A lot of people make fun of Parker Jones, but as far as I'm concerned, he's living the dream of 95% of the sports fans I see here: throwing heat at a referee.”
Many other fans joked that Jones could be in the transfer portal whether he likes it or not after his mistake.
Eventually, the traffic to Georgia Football's website ended up being too much and it crashed when fans tried to search for information about Jones.
Jones, who is 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds, is from Albany, Georgia and has not played a game for the Bulldogs in his career in Athens.
At halftime, Notre Dame led Georgia 13-3. The Fighting Irish returned the second half kickoff to extend their lead to 20-3.
