The Commanders narrowly beat the Buccaneers in their wild-card matchup Sunday night, and Barstool boss Dave Portnoy didn't think the Washington team's broadcast lived up to the moment.
Kicker Zane González converted a 37-yard field goal as time expired to give the visitors the victory, although it was not easy as his kick hit the inside of the post before going in.
Commander announcers Bram Weinstein and London Fletcher didn't mention that fact as they reacted giddily to the win and were torn apart by Portnoy as a result.
'Is this the worst big game decision of all time?' he said in X in response to a clip of the call. 'They made it sound like Zane tore it up in the middle. I didn't even mention the doink. F minus call.'
To Portnoy's point, black man Weinstein simply declared the kick was “good” before commenting on the team's composure in close games.
'The cardiac commanders are the clutch commanders. They do it again, see you in Detroit,' he said.
London Fletcher and Bram Weinsten didn't mention the fact that Zane Gonzalez's kick went in off the post.
And Barstool Sports boss Dave Portnoy broke up the pair's post-game call on X.
González's kick slipped in after hitting the post to give the Commanders a 23-20 victory.
Fletcher, who enjoyed a long NFL career as a linebacker and played seven years with Washington, also weighed in, but did not mention how the kick arrived.
“Zane González kicks in the door and takes us to the second round of the playoffs!” he said.
Meanwhile, Mike Tirico made sure to mention the 'doink' in his speech. call of the game on NBC.
'They've fought their way to the divisional round!' he exclaimed, after Cris Collinsworth was heard laughing at the bizarre move.
The Commanders will travel to Detroit this weekend to take on the No. 1 Lions on Saturday.
Weinstein and Fletcher's decision on Gonzalez's game-winner wasn't the only thing that set Portnoy off during NFL Wild Card weekend.
Justin Herbert and the Chargers suffered a 32-12 loss to the Texans, and the quarterback had his worst game of the season, completing just 43.8 percent of his passes and throwing four interceptions. He had only thrown three picks in the entire regular season.
“I'm so sick of Justin Herbert, of people sucking his dick,” he said in a video posted on X. “Making it look like this kid is a young quarterback.”
'Go back to whatever I said, it sucks. I don't care what tools you have. What's the crush on this damn guy? It was bad in Oregon, the team got worse,” he continued.
“He was supposed to be the No. 1 pick in the draft (and) he fell because people looked at him and (said), 'Hey, this guy might suck.'
Houston will now face the Chiefs on Saturday at 4:30 pm ET.
