In the La County Dept. of public health documentDavid's immediate cause of death is listed as a cardiac arrest … with chronic obstructive lung disease as a underlying state. The document also lists dehydration as an essential participant.

Lnch himself had revealed last year that after years of smoking, an emphysema was diagnosed, and is probably no longer able to guide himself or even leave his house.
