Detroit Lions send one-word message to mother of viral 31-pound baby

The Detroit Lions made an early draft after a video of a 31-pound baby went viral on TikTok.

Mom and user Madison Peltzer posted clips of her baby and the video garnered more than 10 million views on the platform. She revealed that her six-month-old son is in the '99th percentile for everything' with his weight.

After watching the clip, the Lions' social media account quickly jumped into the conversation with a one-word comment.

“Dibs,” the team's TikTok manager wrote.

In another video, Madison acknowledged the comment and wrote, “@Detroit Lions give us a few years and we'll get there.”

Peltzer previously revealed that her son is exclusively breastfed and weighed 9 pounds, 2 ounces at birth.

As the Lions' comedic approach to the viral video circulated, their fans began flooding Peltzer's posts about his son with jokes about playing for them.

'Welcome to the little man of the Detroit Lions!!' wrote one fan.

“Future Lions lineman,” another wrote with a handshake emoji.

“Bro is going to the Lions,” added a third.

The Lions finished the season with a 15-2 record and are favorites to win the NFC after losing in the conference title game last year.

Their postseason journey begins Saturday when they host the Washington Commanders in the Divisional Round.
