The infamous attack on DiddyStanding in Diddy's cell in a New York prison were the very federal prosecutors who had charged the music mogul with sex trafficking and other serious crimes – at least according to Diddy's lawyers, who say they have the evidence!
Diddy's lawyers filed new legal documents forcefully accusing prosecutors in the Southern District of New York of masterminding the November 2024 search of Diddy's cell at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn with the help of Bureau of Prison correctional officers.
In the documents, Diddy's lawyers point to a meeting between BOP officials and other federal agencies on the morning of the second day of the search to discuss a possible search of Diddy's unit… and they say that SDNY superiors, including the Diddy trial team The unit chief believed that a search of Diddy's cell was justified.
Defense attorneys claim the other agencies asked the SDNY unit chief whether a search of Diddy's cell was necessary.
Diddy's lawyers say the SDNY chief ordered the cell search “in part because of what prosecutors had learned about (Mr. Combs's) conduct at the MDC.”

Diddy's lawyers say the chief then spoke with SDNY leadership and they eventually passed that information on to BOP, which conducted the search.
You may remember… prosecutors said earlier the search of MDC was planned by prison officials far in advance his arrest and did not specifically target Diddy. Rather, it's about ensuring the safety of staff and inmates, they said.
However, Diddy's legal team insists this is untrue and accuses the government of searching his prison cell to seize a range of confidential materials, including notes to his lawyers about his upcoming trial.
We reached out to the SDNY…they declined to comment.
