- Diogo Dalot says that United players have been inspired by Amorim comments
- Amorim said that the current United team can be the worst in club history
- Listen now: Everything is starting! Ollie Watkins Al Arsenal? It is a terrible planning from Arsenal … Everything is a bit late and panic of the Gunners!
Diogo Dalot admits Ruben Amorim's comment that Manchester United could be the worst team in the history of the chopped club, but insists that he is inspiring players to demonstrate that his chief coach is wrong.
Since Amorim was admitted after the defeat against Brighton two weeks ago, United has won three games against the Rangers, Fulham and Steaaua Bucharest while preparing to face Crystal Palace in Old Trafford on Sunday.
Dalot said: 'I don't want to hear that, so the message for me is the next training session that I have to show that I don't want to belong to the worst Manchester United team in history.
'You can analyze it as something negative. I analyze it as something positive because I want to change the situation. My teammates too, and we show against Steaaaua that we want to change this, so lucky on Sunday we can do again.
'Obviously he (Amorim) is a passionate guy. He was as a player and now he is also a manager, and I think it's what this club needs. Talk to all fans who always show this desire to want the best for the club. That is what he wants.
Dalot admits that it will not be easy to maintain the increase in the results, but insists that the 'storm' will disappear and that United is directed in the right direction.

From Amorim comments, United has won three games in succession
“I mean, we know that what happened this season has been really difficult, not only for us but for all the people involved in the club,” added the defender of Portugal. 'But we want to change it and want to start, step by step, and the first step is to win games, clean sheets.
'Soccer is always unpredictable, but what you can see is that we are trying to be more consistent about it, trying to win more games, and that is the part we want to maintain.
'It does not mean that things will be lovely until the end of the season, but that's where we want to go. We are really positive about it.
'We know that this storm that everyone is talking about, will disappear. But we need to suffer as a team, as a club. Fans have to be with us and I'm sure they will rise again. '
